Frank und Steff arbeiten bereits seit über zwanzig Jahren objektbezogen zusammen. Im Jahr 2004 beschlossen die beiden sich fest zu einem Fotografenduo zusammen zu schließen und machen seitdem alle Fotoaufträge und Kunstprojekte gemeinsam.
Neben der Auftragsfotografie für Kunden und Magazine aus Mode, Werbung und Unternehmenskommunikation, hat sich das Fotografenduo auch auf dem Sektor der internationalen Fotokunst einen Namen gemacht. Die Kunst von Frank und Steff wurde bereits weltweit in zahlreichen Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen gezeigt, sowie mit zahlreichen internationalen Kunst- und Fotografiepreisen ausgezeichnet.
Es ist die Symbiose aus männlichem und weiblichem Blick die Frank und Steffs Kunst so einzigartig macht und die auch ihren Kunden einen Mehrwert für ihre Kampagnen und Bildproduktionen bietet.
Die Bilder von Frank und Steff entstehen an sorgfältig ausgewählten Locations, direkt bei ihren Kunden vor Ort, oder unter kontrollierten Bedingungen im Studio. Für alle Produktionen steht den Fotografen ein umfassendes Netzwerk aus Visagisten, Stylisten, Setbauern und Assistenten zur Verfügung um allen denkbaren Produktionsanforderungen gerecht zu werden.
Neben der eigenen Fotografie engagieren sich die beiden Fotografen auch als Kuratoren und Ausstellungsmacher. Vor allem das von ihnen mitorganisierte und -kuratierte Ausstellungsprojekt „Fumes and perfumes“, das bereits seit 2014 jährlich neu aufgelegt und erweitert wird, hat sich zu einem etablierten Format für zeitgenössische internationale Fotokunst entwickelt.

" Das hin- und herreichen der Kamera während eines Shootings wie es für uns ganz normal geworden ist, scheint wohl auch für Fotografenduos eine sehr exotische Arbeitsweise zu sein. Uns gibt es aber die Freiheit mit mehr Blickwinkeln auf das Objekt zu schauen. Dennoch ist am Ende nichtmehr nachvollziehbar, wer nun genau welches Bild gemacht hat. Das spielt für uns auch gar keine Rolle, wir verstehen unsere Arbeit als ein ganzheitlich gemeinsames Ding."
Frank and Steff have been working together on an object-based basis for over twenty years. In 2004, the two decided to permanently join forces as a photography duo and have been doing all photo commissions and art projects together ever since.
In addition to commissioned photography for clients and magazines in fashion, advertising and corporate communications, the photography duo has also made a name for itself in the sector of international photographic art. Frank and Steff's art has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, as well as winning numerous international art and photography awards.
It is the symbiosis of male and female gaze that makes Frank and Steff's art so unique and that also offers their clients added value for their campaigns and image productions.
Frank and Steff's images are created at carefully selected locations, directly at their clients' sites, or under controlled conditions in the studio. For all productions, the photographers have an extensive network of make-up artists, stylists, set builders and assistants at their disposal to meet all conceivable production requirements.
In addition to their own photography, the two photographers are also involved as curators and exhibition organizers. In particular, the exhibition project "Fumes and perfumes", which they co-organized and curated and which has already been reissued and expanded annually since 2014, has become an established format for contemporary international photographic art.
Frank and Steff are professional members of the BFF - Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestallter e.V. (professional association of freelance photographers and filmmakers).
